Black Friday Patrols

Dear Resident,

On the 28th November 2025, we were tasked with Black Friday patrol initiative, to visit and engage with local businesses/stores as well as giving crime prevention advice on steps to take regarding shop lifting incidents. We advised store staff members to remain vigilant and encourage them to continue reporting incidents of shoplifting offences to the police. 

During our time in the shops/businesses, there were no incidents of shoplifting. This could have been because there were so many of us, police officers, in high visibility jackets, which acted as a deterrent, keeping the suspects out of he businesses preventing them from coming in to carryout their criminal activities.
